I put on a 3" body lift and now am unable to to remount my spare because the key hole is behind the stock bumper. Anyone with the same lift and stock bumper figure out a solution??

oh my ttruck, there is a hole in the bumper behind the license plate that lines up perfectly, if you don't have one, you can always drill one out yourself...

Is your bumper is in the stock location? I have a 3 inch bl and my original spare fits in the stock location on my 99 Ranger. MY PA bl came with the bumper relocation brackets for front and rear bumpers. Yours did not?

I also have a spare 33x12.5 in the bed. I bought a new Westin bed extender and cut it down to fit up next to my spare.

He's talking about getting the lowering bar thing into the hole to lower the spare. It's blocked by the bumper now that it's been relocated.

I don't see how it is. I can lower my stock spare and put it back up with out any issues. I am confused. I have buddies with 99-2001 Rangers that have a bl and their stock spare tire can be accessed with out any problems.

Where do you put the lowering bar in stray cat?

Sent from somewhere naughty!

I have an access hole. I thought all the Rangers had one that comes with the same spare mount setup as I have. Maybe not?

I would imagine you could also use the basket type off of a gen 3? The frames look the same to me besides the rear crossmember/spare tire carrier on the gen 4's that just cause rust. I just throw my spare in the bed... Problem solved. When I have the cap on my truck, I throw it up on the basket on top.

yes they do, but when you do a body lift, the frame stays, and the body and bumpers get lifted, the spare tire is on the frame... the holes no longer line up
