3.8 distributor

Can I use a 3.8 mustang distributor in place of the one on my 2.8? there is a carb and dist at a garage sale with an msd cap I was wondering if it would fit.

Only if the 3.8L has the same timing curve as your 2.8L. I kinda doubt that...

advance curve asside will the 3.8 dist fit in the 2.8? Re-setting the curve is childs play.

belive it will be to long, as the 3.8 is the same dizzy as a 351, other then the drive gear and the reluctor guts.
