3.0l cam sync permanent fix, never replace again


Both the grease fitting and the drop of oil method are good "helpful hints".

Hmm - if all these engines have a synchro with the same design problem, why don't we read about failures with other engines than the 3.0?
 
All of them do have failures. I have only had one that actually had a hard failure, the sensor got torn up. The rest where making noise from dry bushings. I have deal with these in 3.8l mustangs, 4.2l f150s, 5.0l explorer engines, 3.0 and 4.0l rangers.
 
Nice info! Great pictures of where the fittings lay, you remove the sensor wire or do you just fit the gun under it?

The one in my 5.0 ranger sounds like a pissed off pterodactyl right now. New one should be here today.
