3.0 to 4.0 swap

not sure if this is the correct place so feel free to move the post if needed.
I've got a 93 splash 4x4 3.0 5 spd ranger. I'am about to buy a 93 ranger 4.0 5spd 4x4 ranger for a donor. Willl the wiring from the 4.0 ranger be a direct plug and play into the main harness on my 93 ranger? As in the 2 plugs(black and gray i believe) on the drivers side fenderwell?

Just out of curiosity, is there really anything wrong with the 3.0 Liter engine in your truck?

Yes and no,It does run yes. Downside, it has no power,and its not the original motor in it as i blew the old one up. It has a hidious lifter tick and just plain doesnt have enough power to cruise with the 33s on there. i basically have to drive it in 4th, in 5th gear all it does is slow itself down.

No one has done a 3.0 to 4.0 swap with matching year trucks? just kinda wondering here....
