3.0 rough idle

i have a 96 ranger 3.0 i bought it with a bad motor i changed that with a used one now when i got it running it has a mis that shakes the motor and mis at running rpm no power at all checked compression 120 to 150 in all 6 checked fuel pressure 35 at idle close to 40 when reved changed plugs and wires changed tps changed cam sensor pulled one spark plug wire at a time off coil pack and ran it none of them seemed to change the way it ran it also cuts out when driving and over drive light is flashing and hard shifts

How is your fuel injectors? Cap and rotor in good shape? Do you have the spark plugs gapped to the right size? Timing in check?

it is distributorless i gapped the plugs i did not get to timing yet or injectors

usually 1 cylinder just taking the wire off won't change all that much. clean your maf could help

thanks bcost882 i will try that i was also thinking if my cam snychro is off whould it run like that i did not have it out but just wondering

fixed it it was the cam synchronizer it was off by a tooth thanks to all who helped

Thats interesting, whoever installed it wrong must have thought the motor was messed up and just sold it cool that you figured it out though
