3.0 intake need help

Cutting the maf could help, but I'd buy a junker MAF the same design, cut it, and use the electronics from mine. That way if everything goes wrong, it can be cheaply converted back.

I've had it done for 10k miles with no problems. Doesn't idle any worse than it did before :woot:

i have a coffee can with some paper towels in it for 300 bucks, you will gain 30hp too.

i also have another coffee can that makes cool noises and can get you another 30 hp that will replace you stock muffler.

jk
stock intakes offer plenty of flow for stock motors along with the exhaust dont mess with it unless your cool with paying a few hundred for some extra noise in either case.

im going to have to disagree as far as the exhaust is concerned, my gibson definitely gave me a noticeable increase in torque. before i put it on o/d was practically useless on the freeway below 80 mph with 30s but now i can run o/d at 60-65 no problem at all even uphill with 31s. the intake i agree with, its a waste but the exhaust on mine was well worth the $300 IMO.

haha i dont know why u paid 300 for a exhaust. i just unbolted mine after the o2 sensor, then ran 2.5 inch pipe out the side. its cheap (about 40 bucks total for the new pipe and chrome tip) and it sounds good without being too ricey. ass for the intake, im just gonna try enlarging the hole behind the fender a bit, then fiberglassing a small louver onto it so it becomes a cheap ram air intake. the truck idled rougthg for about a day after the exaust but as soon as the computer readjusted it ran fine. ive been running like this for 20000 miles and ahvent had a problem
