3.0 Idle and rpm dips

You have cleaned the MAF sensor right?

If TPS checks out then it would be a long shot that is the issue.

Well if you have a smart phone you can get a $35 OBD II bluetooth adapter, you can then watch live data from computer as you drive(carefully) and see if there are any changes to spark timing, fuel mix, MAF data, ect....when the RPM changes occur.

Google: OBD II bluetooth adapter

I have a hand held scanner so never tried these but have read several posts from people who have.
With some the smartphone app is free, for other you have to pay for the app, so just a heads up.
Also look where your OBD II plug in is, some adapters will fit in better than others

Take it out of OD, put it in 2 and 3 manually and see if it still does it in those positions. Be sure to rev it above 3000 rpms in at least 2nd gear (~50 mph). 3k in 3rd might be over 70 mph so watch that, lol.

If you have a tachometer, tell us what rpm you are at when the dip occurs.

If it only does the dip in OD and at about 3000 rpms, your DTRS thinks it's in Neutral and needs a slight adjustment. The PCM only lets it rev to 3000 in P and N. Passing through 3k would be like shutting off the spark for long enough to drop back below 3k. Just like the top end speed limiter at 92 mph, but far more dramatic at lower speeds.

do you still have the pully and k&n installed? I would put my money on an aftermarket part causing your problems. just my .02 and for performance you actually loose power with a k&n unless you dyno tune or chip it, then your looking at a whole new set of diagnostics.
