3.0 exhaust

Im new to this whole joining forum thing on this site, but just for kicks im adding things to my ranger. I found a guy to put on a flowmaster 40 series with custom pipe, single exhaust for around 200$. good price?

Just the muffler? I got just the muffler and tail pipe put on my truck for like 60 bucks.

if i understood him correctly it was from the catalyst to the back, with flowmaster muffler and a tip. so yes i guess everything. i know that the pepboys around here sell the 40 series for i believe like 90-100 dollars. so i guess ill pay it.

Did you pick out a tip or is it just the pipe? If its just the pipe end without a fancy tip then 200 is high. I would shoot lower to the 100 dollar range for a good deal. If its a custom exhaust tip you picked out then that could be a normal price.

okay, i will. they had ones with the one opening and then two on the other side probably for dual exhaust(i think is overrated around my area seeing is that everyone has one) and then others. i will ask though which one. and yes it does come with a tip. he said i could pick from what he has.

thank you for your help, i should be getting this on monday! by the way i dont know if i should post this question somewhere else but does anyone know anything about intakes. i was wondering if i could just by a k&n cone filter and remove the stock housing and put the cone filter on. would that effect anything? just curious.

I got the muffler and a tip for 150! as soon as i find my camera i will post pics!

No I kept the piping and just added the muffler and the tip. I think its just the regular 40 series. It didnt have a box, he just pulled it off the display.

Is that any good, cuz I like the sound. It doesnt sound like one of those stupid foreign cars that sound like my r/c truck. Im pretty satisfied with it.

If you want to look and see which one you got. On the outlet side of the case there are numbers engraved into the case. If it starts with a 4 then you have the original. If it starts with a 9 you have the deltaflow.

I see no 9

You have the original 40 then.
