so ive spent the last few hours reading through the tech library and everywhere else i can and ive come to the conclusion that im going with a 4.0 over a 5.0.

As far as understand i can bolt the 4.0 up to my 93' a4ld? right
The 4.0 is from a 94' and my truck is a 93', how much splicing will be involved for the wiring harness?
Do i need the 4.0 radiator?

thanks guys

if you have the donor vehicle use everything from it, set your truck beside it and compare everything. You might be able to get away with swapping the engine in without splicing, i've got a 93 parts 4.0 ranger same yr as mine and the swap is a direct swap in no splicing required, same plug-ins on the harness as my 93, i'm not for certain if your auto will bolt right up to the 4.0 or not tho.

you need a diff bellhousing flexplate and torque converter

the bellhousings on the 3.0 and 4.0 are dif, idk if the bellhousing is removable you may have to have the tranny, thats my case w/ an m50d swap.
