So im debateing on building a flat/tube bed for my truck, I hae some 2x3 1/4 wall I got for another project that has been sitting, Got to thinking I could use this to bulid my 2 side rails out of and use some 2" tube for the cross beams in the fron and back, than take some 1" stuff I have for the cross members to hold what ever I use for a floor. My main concern is the weight, im running 64" chevys in the rear with the over load still there.
So guys what are your thoughts on this?

Sounds good to me. We will expect to see pictures of the build of course.

I honestly think that's far too heavy wall for a bed. It will be ungodly heavy. Stick with 1/8 or 3/16 wall at most.

Yeah, I just got to get over and get my tanks filled, Should be a fun project, hopeing to get a bender and start on my exo.

This, I used all 1/8" on the last one I built and it's still took 2 extra leafs in a Chevy pack to level it back out
