2wd shock recomendations?

this morning i decided to go yard saling and really beat on the truck. i went over some train tracks that im familiar with. before installing the shocks, i couldnt go over them over 30mph without getting bucked out of my seat. now, going over them at 30mph, it is really smooth. also going on some twisty roads, there was considerable body lean. now it doesnt feel like the truck wants to tip over. there is no rear end squat. brake dive is minimal. overall a good upgrade. definitly daily driver worthy. if i was a bit more agressive with my truck and hit some fire roads occasionally, i wouldve went with a monotube gas shock.

thanks sounds good, i dont need much just something to where i dont bounce out of my seat all the time

yesterday i decided to take a look at my brakes. thank god i did. one of the front shocks was leaking shock oil. went straight to amazon.com and ordered up a replacement. all i have to do is ship the defective one back within 30 days and i wont be charged for the replacement. i sure hope this is a one time thing and that the other 3 hold hold up just fine.

bad news to report. i got the replacement thursday. drove around with the new shock for about 20 miles. no problems. since then, ive put another 50 miles on the truck. and the same shock is leaking AGAIN. is there anything with the suspension that could cause this? the bumpstop is good on the lower control arm.

this MAY be a self caused problem. the passenger side is the side i started on when installing all new shocks. so when i took the stock front one off, i compressed it by hand. it never came back up, even after sitting in my backyard for a few weeks. then i took the new one out of the box. i compressed that one by hand(like a dumbass). my little borther did the same to the replacement. thats the only thing i can think of that would cause that problem. i dont remember doing it to any of the other shocks. luckily amazon.com is overnighting me a replacement. this time im going to swap the one from the drivers side over to the passengers side. then put hte new one on the drivers side. i sure hope this works out well.

UPDATE

i just put 500 miles on them from monday to thursday. no leaks. they seem to be valved a little stiffer then oem, but the faster you go the smoother they are. 80-90mph freeway runs are smooth.
