Hello All,
A short description of what's up. There's a '94 X cab 4x4 that was destroyed when a tree fell on it. I have a '93 2WD X cab on a truck that's not worth fixing,and I'd like to put the cab from the '93 2x4 onto the '94 4x4 frame.
Before this project goes any further than the thought process,I thought it might be a good idea to see if it will even work.
Are there any differences in the cabs that may prevent this swap?
In the past I've run into problems with different floor plans between 2 and 4 WD cabs, but those were on full size trucks from the 70's. Would this be a direct bolt on swap,or are modifications needed?
I did do a quick search and found several threads on swapping out 4x4 componets, but nothing on swapping out the cabs.
The '94 is an automatic, and the '93 is a 5sp. The 4x4 is an electric shift model.
Thanks for any input.
