One of my customers is the head of restoration at the air force museum down state. Offered to give me a personal tour of all the birds they've got, if i can just get a day off.

My favorite thing about the blackbirds was the way they leaked fuel out of the wings on the runway. When they got heated up at about Mach 3, everything sealed up. Nice pics.

I had heart about that...also heard they had to refuel as soon as they took off because of it.

That is very true... I heard that the were longer after they land than when they took off cause of the heat generated by friction...

I am hoping to get back down that way soon.. I did almost all the Mechanical, body, and paint work on the truck myself... Only thing I didn't do was install the windshield and the Alignment...
