285 vs. 305


They're both 33" tall, not enough difference to matter. You said you have 16x8 wheels, which are fine, but if they have more than 4" of backspace then the 305's will probably rub on the inside.
 
They are 3" BS if I remember correctly. But I'm not worried about rubbing, I test-fitted 315s and they only rubbed at full lock, I just don't like the whole full stuff at ride height deal
 
The biggest problem is that tire companies dont know how to work a tape measure. For the most part, no tire will ever be the exact size they claim it is.:icon_confused:
I own a few tape measures, If i say something is a certain size, then its that size (+/- 20%).:icon_rofl:
 
yeah the real issue is that every tire maker makes a different size 33, its kinda like buying shoes one brand you have to go up a size another brand you go down, what you need to do is look up exact specs for the tires you want in those different sizes im sure people have measured them at home too
