Can i run 265/75/16's on a stock 2002 4x4 ford ranger edge without any torsion bar cranking?

Ya know, I was just thinking the exact same thing. I have a 2003 FX4. I have my torsion bars cranked about 1 inch. I was looking at it yesterday and I think that they'll fit. The stock 245/75/R16 is about a 30.5 inch tire. The 265/75/R16 is a 31.6 inch tire. You're only adding about a half inch to the tire radius. I've got more room than that all around at various steering angles. Has anybody here done this switch and had any rubbing problems? Tire sizes seem to be pretty limited for those of us running the 16 inch rims.

Thats what I'm runnin, even at a full flex there is no rubbing. Although i wish i woulda gone with the 285/75/16, And next time i will in a MT. Although i don't have the mud flaps or front valance

They might fit. My previous truck was a 2002 Ranger and the torsion bars were set so low from the factory that the stock tires rubbed on the street at full lock. I did turn the bars up an inch or so but then I ran 265/70-16's just to be safe. A lot of guys on the Sport Trac site run 265/75-16's with no t-bar crank.

I was considering running 265/75/16 on my 2002 4x4 supercab as well. Any comments on ride compared to the stock 245/75/16's? I do mostly highway driving, so am a little worried about the road worthiness, and dont want to end up wrestling with the wheel for my entire commute. Thanks!

they will fit fine. That is what I've ran for a longtime now. They will rub if you get into really off camber areas on the rear passenger side but not to bad, regular driving won't though

They fit prefect, I moun ted up a set on an 02 Ranger today that was all stock. They had lots of room.

Put them on today and all good. 265/75/16 without any lift or torsion crank. Run fine, but if I turn the wheel all the way they will rub. Worth it because they look great!
