2019 Ranger Production Starts

I'm also noticing the DSO (District Sales Order) is left blank. That also tells me it's a pre-production truck never intended to see private hands.
When are they scheduled to be in dealers? Last I heard was February or March of '19. If they're starting production within the next 2-4 weeks, they could land sooner than that. Ford's website still has it listed as a future vehicle though.

They usually amass a bunch of them before they start shipping.

I think the press release mentioned February.

You're welcome.

Yes, Thank you.

Although, could we trouble you/fastpakr to note SCab or SCrew/ 2wd or 4WD against the Federal stickers? I don't have my secret decoder quite set up yet & they are much more similar than our older Ranger.

Again, thank in advance

The one I posted was from this 4-door:

Dang, I didn't really care for all the chrome on the silver one at NAIAS but it really pops on the black one.

102 above was from a 2wd extended cab.

48 was an extended cab as well. Not sure about 2 or 4wd.

one of the 2wd pics in the other thread looks like a platform truck i looked under while it was brake testing last year right before naias at a gas station off of sibely rd....

its how i knew the 4 door gold truck we were looking at was an imposter at the naias...the frame and rear axle were nothing like the platform rigs in camo.

those frames look better then the qa building stuff though.

i was not too impressed with the pre pops.... looked like they will rot rapidly.

The fact that ya'll even got to see them and poke around them is cool. As soon as they hit my local Dealership I'm gonna be like fastpakr and get all up under it.lol

i think you will be happy with these 850......

lowering an ex cab and running whatever cobb comes up with for these things i am guessing will make them fun as hell for auto x stuff.

of course a 6 speed manual with a flat foot tune would be much much better.

I'll take an initial crack at the VIN decoding:

1ft - Ford Motor Company USA | Ford | Truck
e - 6,001-7,000 gvwr - all are 6,050lbs gvwr
r - Ranger
1 - SuperCab; 4 - SuperCrew
e - 4x2; f - 4x4
h - 2.3 EcoBoost
4 - Check digit
k - 2019
l - Michigan Assembly: Wayne, Michigan
a000xxx - sequence number

historic Rangers had 1 for 2 dr SCab, 4 for the 4dr; e was the 2wd, f was the 4wd.

Which would suggest 048 was a 4x4.

I suspect 4 spring packs - gaaa was on the 4x2 SCab, gbbb was on the 4x2 SCrew, hddd was on the 4x4 SCab, missing is hccc for the 4x4 SCrew.

I believe the only time there is a DSO is when it's a special order. The DSO will show the location it was ordered from.
