2019 Ford Ranger Bull Bar, Grill Guard, and Winch Bumper

I built my grill guard using 1" x 1.5" rectangular box and expanded metal. I hit a 160 lb buck @ 65 mph and there was no damage to my guard, the stock bumper got slightly bent though. Here's a couple pictures of it. I built it around the push bumper that was already on the truck, it also comes in handy when I have to push a tree down.

I like it!

A word of advice to those considering doing the same. Check your state laws before you do it. Some states prohibit anything being in front of the head lights. Even the much skimpier two or three bar thing some bars come with. I'm not sure why but the prohibition is there.

Thanks, I appreciate the thumbs up. It's satisfying to build what you need, the hours you invest are worth it in the end.

One other thing, I thank you for your continuing service to our Country.

If you go to 589fab they have a hidden winch mounting plate for the new ranger. Looks sweet. Maybe in my future. Way future haha. Not a big fan of the big bumpers. Big tires yes but big bumper is a no go for me haha

I went with the Westin Pro Mod front bumper. Looks great and found it for a crazy price on Amazon one day

Looks like it blocks virtually all airflow to the intercooler...

I think that is going to be an issue with any winch bumper unless one goes the route of installing a front hitch and only mounting the winch when needed or finds a bumper that the winch mounts on top of the bumper.

A little late but the intercooler is actually behind the grill. I like the hidden mount because I love the look of the new Ranger and don't really want to change it. On the other hand a winch would allow me to be a little more adventurous out on the trails. Just added security. Maybe if it was spaced out a little it would prevent sawing into bumper. I haven't seen one on in person but to me beats one hanging off the front

I've been checking around to see if anyone was offering heavy duty front bumpers, winch bumpers, grill guards, and bull bars.

If anyone finds any companies offering any online, please post it in this thread.

This is what I have found:

Front Bumpers:

It's important to remember that the 2019 Ranger has a turbocharged EcoBoost engine, as well as an intercooler that cools the air being blown in to the engine by the turbos. The cooler the air, the more horsepower it an create. Plus, you probably don't want a bunch of hot air being blown in to your motor. ;)

If you look for a replacement front bumper, or winch bumper, you may want to pay close attention as to whether or not it blocks the air flow to the intercooler.

Warn Industries had a bumper on the 2019 Ranger X concept truck. They don't currently list it on their website.

Here is the bumper from SEMA...

We have 2 options but this is the one you are inquiring about! Westin Outlaw Front Off-Road Bumper! Remember - installing this bumper on your truck will render your Adaptive Cruise Control System and Parking Assist System inoperable due to the bumper blocking the radar sensor receiver.
