2016 Yamaha Wolverine

I love my 2010 Ranger 400. It aint super fast and not an offroad beast by any means but its been a nice reliable workhorse and fun on sand trails. I hate the CVT transmission but it hasn't failed me yet. I just cant get used to not having gears...

A Ranger 400 isn’t a bad machine. It should be fine around the farm.
CVTs take some getting used to, but they’re great for these big heavy off-road 4x4 quads and SxSs they’re building now.

There is only one Wolverine. Anything else is named after him.

I'm with @Uncle Gump, i haven't caught this bug, but a few buddies have. I do not have the cash flow for this sort of fun.
@Blmpkn I beleive my state has that law. I see these for sale out in the country all the time. They look like they would be great for farm work and fun times.

I hear ya on the price. I joined a RZR forum to get 10% off... Even with $300 off I still stared at the screen for a minute or 2 before pushing the “complete transaction” button.

The older Sportsman is usually a reliable machine. You have a Sportsman 500, right?

BUT LOOK AT THAT GROUND CLEARANCE!!
They are bad ass lol.

Yeah i got an 01 500 H.O. Most the issues ive had have been mostly the result of neglect by the PO.

I had to do a top end recently...the old rings/jug were so worn the piston was flopping in the bore. The speedo got changed in 05 and it reads 2100miles/289 hours. Im gonna guess it did alot of idleing and was used as a farm implement.

It’s not cheap...
My SxS cost about $13K out the door.
I’ve only spent about $200 in maintenance (Oil changes, etc.) in 4 years.
I’ve spent about $8000 in accessories and aftermarket parts.

Farm equipment can get a lot of bailing wire and “I’ll fix it when it REALLY breaks”... that can let a machine fall into a state of disrepair that’s not worth fixing.

So... you could have bought a new f150? :icon_rofl:

Yea but if you didn't spend 20 grand on a side by side you could afford to slap some paint on that primer! :ROFLMAO:

that's a lease, not a purchase.
Yeah, because I like to replace my daily driver ever few years.
Cadillac had a lease deal that you could trade in your vehicle every month. If Ford had a similar deal, I’d have that.

So you lease it till the gas tanks empty? :icon_confused:
