2008 ranger sport 4X4 body lift need some advice

There is a kit on fat bobs garage that gives you three in the front and two in the back it in cludes torsion bars, four super ride shocks and a add a leaf in the back would this work or is it not worth the time.

I am planning to put thirty threes on it and am putting a leveling kit on it and do some mild off roading nothing to serious. but want it up in the air a bit you know of any sites were i can order body lifts

dont buy a leveling kit get some older torsion keys and older rear blocks you can clear 33s with a bl and the older style keys and either shackles or older blocks but bl and older stuff you will be good to go and for around 300-350 you will have a nice truck with 33s

The other problem is that you will either have to remove the front tow hooks or cut notches in the valance. Body and bumper goes up, tow hooks stay bolted to the frame where they are.

if i go with a set of thirty twos form the stock tire is that going to hurt the axels and u joint and stuff like that.
No, not at all. Just know that the ball joints and wheel bearings aren't long-lived even with stock tires, so if one or both crap out on you it isn't necessarily the fault of the tires.
The late-model front end is fine with tires up to 33". 35's or bigger and you will have issues with stuff breaking.

on newer trucks you can run 35's with a 3" body n 2" crank...

98-07 yeah. You can....but it ain't fun. Pray you don't have flares. And you gotta trim that valence. And since it's an 08+, it's likely it's got 3.73's and that means a gear swap because it's gonna drive like total sh!t!!

08+ torsion bar trucks sit 1.5" LOWER than previous year trucks. Ford clocked the torsion keys a few degrees to lower the trucks to provide better economy numbers. This can be fixed with the installation of 98-07 stock torsion keys. It allows you to get the same height that older trucks can achieve. Rear 08+ blocks are 1.5". 98-07 4x4's got 2.5" and 00-07 2wd torsion bars got 2".

yea that was the only thing i didnt like, that i had to lose my tow hooks. but its not the end of the world, ill just fab something up :icon_welder:

I just purchesed a 2.25'' leveling kit( ready lift torsion keys) and a add a leaf iam hopeing this will beef up the look what size tires do u think i can run with these upgrades

ewwww.

33x12.50 max. Definate valence trimming required.

Forgot....

32x11.50 would be a nicer fit though. I like to clear tires, rather than stuff.
