Hey guys so I have a stock 2008 ranger fx4 and I wanna put a 3 inch body lift with 33x12.5 tires on it! I'm getting a shop to put in the lift for me. Will there be any problems with putting 33's on it? Also what lifts do you guys recommend I havent gotten a lift yet and also what size of rims should I get? Anything helps! Hopefully all i have to do for the tires is the body lift! Thanks guys!

You should definitely save your $$ and install the BL yourself. And yes 33s will fit with plenty of room.

Seriously what he said ^. A body lift is really easy to install. If you have a floor jack or a few buddies you can do it in a few hours with zero issues. It's easy as pulling the bolts putting the blocks under the cab and bed and putting the longer bolts back it

Thing is I have no clue what to do and I got a broken collar bone and have to have surgery haha

Also what type of body lift is good? Is performance accessories any good?

what your guys opinion on 33x10.5 or should i go with 33x12.5? im havin a tough time choosing i do quite abit of highway in city driving but like to hit the fields once in a while

If you're dead set on a BL, I would do polyurethane body mounts and everything else.... if you search for a minute you can find some easy. Even on a newer vehicle like yours im sure you'd notice the ride difference. It seems like everyone does performance accessories, thats about all that i hear of.

personal preference; just go with a suspension lift. body lifts just get you bigger tires. and they look ugly. but thats just me.

coming into winter you will want skinnier tires.

x2 on the 10.5's if you do highway driving it will help a little with milage compaired with the 12's because of the skinnier tires.

and also i would look at a suspension lift a body lift needs to really be done completely to look good and by completely i mean relocating the bumpers and putting the little panels in your rear wheel wells to hide the gap. a suspension lift will cost you alot more but you will be happier with it in the end. when i had my s10 i started with a body lift and ended up doing a 6 inch suspension lift and ditching the body lift.

I purchased a supreme suspension lift kit today 3" front torsion and 2" blocks in the rear! im gtting pretty excited!

Did our advice help you at all steer away from the BodyLift?

You only need the one thread for a question. Did you ever see what gear ratio you have? I would imagine 4.10 but its always good to know for sure.

It's a 4.10 gear ratio and ya it did steer me away from it an the suspension lift was only 135! Mainly my buddy told me it was a big pain in the butt to do a body lift lol now I just got to find a cheap set of new 285/75r16 duratracs any ideas? Tire rack has them for 884 and 315 shipping

eBay supreme suspension lifts all it is in 3" torsion keys in the front and 2" blocks In the rear it's more like a leveling kit but will still get me up 3" for 33's

I know a lot of people who just crank their torsion bars and install shackles in the rear. Those keys really kill your ride quality (MORE than cranking your t-bars.)
