How in the world do you get to the timing belt on a 2007 2.3 Ranger engine? My Ranger only has 14,000 miles on it but the other night I looked over the front of the engine and for the life of me I could find no way to get to the timing belt, when I eventually have to.
I recently replaced the timing belt on my old 1993 2.3 Ranger and it was obvious where the belt was.
Any thoughts would be helpful someday. Thanks.

So, no timing belt.

I appreciate the quick answer. So do I have a chain on the 2007 2.3? My interest is peaked and I would like to know.

Its a rather simple set up. Dual camshafts, both with their own timing gear, a single timing chain, two chain guides, one fixed and one non fixed, that is acted upon by a hydraulic tensioner to keep the chain taught and the camshafts in time with the crankshaft.
