Hey guys,
Let me start with this: I am an IT guy. Not a mechanic by any means, so if I ask a dumb question, I really am asking it. Now, that being said, my truck is in the shop having the rear differential replaced right now. It also has a slipping trans and hell if I'm putting another automatic in it. My friend has done swaps on gen 2 and 3 rangers, but no gen 4's. What will I run into problem-wise and how can I make this go as smoothly as possible?

P.S. If someone could help me out figuring what parts I might need, this way I can have them all when I make my friend help me, that would be awesome, but not necessary.
