2006 Ranger FX4 Level II

Yup. A focus.
A focus that saves me $5,000 a year in gas spending.

Laugh it up lol.

5000? What are you comparing it to, a big block?
I'm just messing with ya. Those things get what 32mpg? My buddy has one. His wife has had it for like 6 years without a major issue. I think it's got almost 200,000 on it now.

Comparing to my ranger that gets 15 mpg lol. I get an average of 30 mpg in the focus. I've gotten up to 35, and I can't seem to get lower than 27.

That ain't too bad, if only it wasn't a car lol!
You need to swap that thing out for a 4.0! I'm getting 20.75 on average. If I get fuel from a specific station I get 21.25 so I try to fuel up there. On a bad day I get 17. It isn't a focus but at least you'll still have your man card lol

I still have my mam card lol. Yes, its a car. But its cheaper. And it puts less mileage on the truck. Spending ten grand a year on gas got old fast. I did it for 2 years.... Was time for a car. Just be glad its still a ford lol.

just do a 4bt swap and ranger will be great for a dd :P

nope lol if i had a 4bt sitting here it would be going in my truck haha

Tore some more down today. Steering components, brakes, rotors. Also pressure washed it.

Super slow progress, but progress.

Will get more done when I'm on day shift. Won't be sleeping during the day lol.

Tomorrow I hope to get everything else off so its just a bare housing with nothing inside it.

There ya go. What have you decided on for suspension?

Keep going back and forth between coilovers, and coil springs and shocks like it's already set up for.

Wanna do coilovers as the axle mounts and the ranger frame doesn't quite line up perfectly, so the coil springs will be at an angle. Coil springs will solve that issue. And take up less room.

Buy, coilovers are more expensive haha.

I'll have to see what I decide when the time comes. Leaning towards coilovers though. Seems better.
