2005 Ranger Edge Build

I think I might be able to clear 35s, still got a lot of life left on my tires though

I wouldnt. unless your cool with new gears and wheel bearings every 6 months.

good lookin truck man, but i agree, you need bigger tires, they look funny.

Well I do plan on changing the gears, that's my next thing on the list. I'm also going to change every bearing in the axle and get a limited slip. Im just kind of confused on the tire size im going. Right now they are 31.8 dia. Think the axle bearings would hold up ok with wider 33s? Like 12.5 or 13.5 width?

soon!

Very nice truck man seen it in person. very clean!

Sweet looking truck! That's how I want mine to look someday but with a SAS.

Thanks a lot guys. Hopefully tuesday i'll find out when I'm getting the gears done. Literally one of the first times im paying someone to work on my truck.... feels funny. Also took some pictures at ok4wd's open house, great time for anyone who lives in or around jersey.

Gotta paint the headlights next! Any other plans other than tires? Any pictures of how you mounted your antennas?

maybe i missed it, but what gears are being swapped in? great build, subscribed.

4.56 with a true trac is the set up im putting in.

I did paint the headlights before, it was a complete fail.
Next thing on the list is starting to plan my v8 swap but that's gonna take awhile, so until then ill probably do some little things.

The cb set up is pretty simple and it came out looking real clean.

I ordered these offline from http://www.geotool.com/antmount.htm. Lil pricey but they're exactly what i wanted. Then I used fire rings from firestik and mounted them inside the mount after i have them mounted on the truck. That was the only annoying part if your doing it by yourself. Final thing looks like this

That's slick! I have mine drilled into the box but doesn't look nice like that. I might have to orderthat setup.

Its been awhile since I've put anything thing up so here is a little update.

Found a picture of my truck all shined up at the last truck show I was at.

Decided to upgrade my reverse lights because of the blacked out tail lights. Picked these up from DDM tuning. I think they were like 7$ a piece or something.

Got a better picture of the LED dash lights

Last but not least I got tired of bending sway bar links so I made myself some drop blocks for the sway bar bushings along with new links. It drives more solid now :yahoo:

Love this build man. you're doing exactly what im in the middle of, except I have to swap out my rear end (luckily you got 4.10 8.8s stock). But I'm rebuilding an 8.8 with 4.10s and throwing in a No Slip.

I'm also in Jersey, but down south near Cherry Hill. Grew up at the shore and spent some time up your way at RU.

If you ever get on that 5.0 project I'd love to help/see it.

oh yea, any reason why you just didn't do away with the sway bar entirely?

It would make quick maneuvers on the GSP fun lol.

I take the turnpike to work everyday so the sway bar is a must have haha.

I still have a couple things I want to do before the 5.0 swap so I put that on the back burner for a little. I plan on getting wider rims and tires. Also the new tires are going to be 33s as opposed to 32s. Also going to get a new front bumper and possibly a body lift but i'm still on the fence about that now.

I also got this sweet tire gate a couple months ago. I love it
