2003 CD/MP3 player "No DJ" message

This started fairly recently, I pushed *something* and I can't remember what i did. Now, if I'm in radio mode, and push preset number 6, the radio does this -

SP is shown in the display, all audio mutes for 2 seconds
RF is shown on the display, the right front speaker plays for 2 seconds
LF is shown on the display, the left front speaker plays for 2 seconds
LR is show on the display, the left rear speaker plays for 2 seconds
RR is shown on the display, the right rear speaker plays for 2 seconds
NO DJ is show on the display, then everything returns to normal, and the first 5 preset buttons work

Any ideas how to get it back to normal?

I looked it up in the manual. You entered the "speaker walk around test" somehow by playing with the buttons. It says to exit the test you should either turn the ignition off, turn the radio off or press preset #1. I have never done this test personally and it doesn't say whether or not you have to do it while it's in the test mode or not. Have you tried doing any of those things while it is performing the test? If all else fails you could try disconnecting the battery and see if it goes back to normal.

yes, thanks! Pushing preset 1 and then preset 6 while it was performing the walkaround test fixed it.
Also found that pressing 3 and 6 together is what made it go into the walkaroud mode in the first place.

Yup. Depending on the model of radio you either have to press 3 and 6 or 1 and 3. Glad it's working now!
