2002 Ranger - TC Questions

you can also strap an adjustable fmu to the setup and adjust it using a wideband 02. As for the timing on such low boost run premium and dial in the AFrs a little rich around 11:1 and it may get you started. If you go into boost and it rattles lift your foot and don't get back into it until you figure out the issue. There are a few more things to figure out. if you have the cash I would sugest gettin gthe truck dyno tuned however with the right equiptment. Does your truck need to pass emissions? Is your truck a DD? As for knowledge about what you want to do I sugest you search the Inet about turbocharging. Theres a few good books that you can usually find at your local book store about turbocharging as well

megasquirt stand alone. 19lb injectors on a turbo? thats tiny. The svo uses 36lb stock and the volvo uses 32lb~ ish stock

I'm using 19s on mine, and they never see the other end of a 70% duty cycle. Injector sizing is relative to fuel pressure, and with a rising rate regulator, the 19s have no difficulty supplying sufficient fuel to my engine.

In fact, they're perfectly capable of making the engine run quite rich!

I have searched the net for info. That's how I found this site. The problem is finding the info I need for my particular truck.

Dyno tuned? - The closest tuner is over 100 miles away. Maybe someday, but not right now.
Pass emissions? - Not here yet, but I do want it as efficient as possible.
Daily Driver? - Yes, but I have other vehicles I can drive if need be.
Books? - Most books I have ran across don't go into the details I need for my application. Components needed and installation is not a problem. That info I already have.
At this point I just need to find a suitable tuner or info on how to tune the computer. From what I have researched so far, a chip is not applicable to my truck.
Maybe I'll just use the turbo on my utility tractor. That would be much easier to do.

Thanks! :icon_thumby:

...that would be pretty sweet to turbo a lawn tractor
