Already posted this once, but I guess it was deleted or somthing. My dad has an '01 Ford F-150 and is has been acting funny. It will just shut off out of no where. It will turn over but will not even try to start. After a little while it will fire up and run fine and then will die. Never know when it will happen. We have noticed that if the security light is blinking it will not start. If the security light comes on then goes off like its supposed to, then it will run fine but once that light comes on it will die. Now the key is purdy much new from Ford and we tried a second chipped key we had made and it does it with either one. Now I DO NOT want to disconect or mess with the security feature on the truck so does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
