2000 XLT sittin on 35s

Yeah, it's not too bad. I havn't gone on the highway yet, but I traded an old 33 for a set of decent 29s w/ rims to use on the street! lol

Ranger looks great with those SWAMPERS on it. If your gonna run the 44 why not look into the 5:13's. Thats the deepest you can run in the 8.8. The 4:88's are alright, I run them in my X, but I wish I would have went with the deeper gears. On my 44/9" I'm gonna run the 5:38's(of course I will run a 4to1 in the t-case also), but it will be a trail only pig.........Later.....BLOOD........

Do I need a new carrier or housing for 5.13s? I think 4.88s are just fine for a DD right?
4.88s are right between "most power" and "near factory ratio" on the charts I've seen.
And maybe a doubler for the trails will make up the difference.

I had a LS in the explorer so I had to get one (mainly cause of the Lock-Right), but I'm not sure on the breakdown. If you running 3:73's I think your alright. Thumper would know........

By the way, how does the lock-right hold up? I'm lookin into one, but I keep hearing "You get what you pay for" Hows it feel on the road?

There is no carrier break on the 8.8's

I don't know about your D35 though.

Your truck looks bad-azz now! :icon_thumby:

I haven't had any issuse's with the Lock-rights ( I run the Detroit Lock-right in my Ranger). They chirp the BFG's on the concrete streets when cornering, but other than that, they work pretty well on the street. If you look into lockers for the street, I would look into either the Auburn ECTED's (electric lockers, they run LS when not locked) or the ARB's(pricey, but really nice having air).........

thats SWEET huge beefy improvement.. man i just ordered my "new" 31s for winter an my summer ones a few months back... seeing all these beefy trucks makes me want to go up to a 33 now.. pops not gonna be to happy about that lmfao
