2000 Ford Ranger 4X4 WHAT WOULD YOU DO?!?!


Whats the difference in the add-a-leafs in that kit vs the four dour explorer leafs? will i still get 2-3in outta the explorer leafs?

You should get about 2" out of a set of 4dr Ex leafs. If you want a little more, you can add one of the leafs from your Ranger packs to them.

Add a leafs (more so the common short springs) make the ride very stiff and can lead to broken leafs.
 
and you just replace the factory leafs with the explorer leafs right? sorry im FULL of questions being this is my first lifting experience lol
 
and what year explorer should i look for for my 2000 ranger or does it matter?
 
Yes. Remove your leafs and put the Explorer leafs in their place. You can get them from any 4 door Explorer, but the new models are less likely to have worn out springs. I think Explorers switched to IRS around '01.

If you want the lift shackles, look for Belltech 6400 shackles. You should be able to find them for about $40-60.

2 grand...bang for buck,as those truck cost to do much to

crank the tbars a inch or so. so you still leave yourself some down travel.
or maybe find out what t bars el chivo is running and if they got them cranked up etc...(link to truck at further down)

throw a bodylift at it,have a shock hoop set up made to hold a 2.0 fox or sway a way type of shocks.

depending on how big of a tire your after.pair of fiberglass fenders to open up the wheel wells in the front. the rear stepside, you may have to trim a little around the wheel wells to open them up a tad. IF you take your time they can come out clean looking.

look's like 33's fit here with stock fenders.....(el chivo)

with fiber glass fenders you may beable to get to 35's
