hey i got a 03 edge 2wd and thinking about doing the 4x4 swap is it possible to do on a newer ranger like that? or is it a lot of customizing

find a donor of similar year and swap it out. merry xmas!

Yeah, it's possible, since you have the EDGE model it has a T-bar suspension, just find a 4x4 IFS truck and go to town... someone did a write up or a build thread on doing it, I'd search for that if I were you...

Just google (how-to: bronco II 2wd to 4wd conversion) there is an article on converting a 2wd Bronco 2 to a 4wd and it is step by step and has pictures to show how everything works, you might check that out for some info.

bronco II is a little different though because they have a dummy t case on 2wheels, so you just have to change the tcase not the trans. after looking at my parts better i got it all figured out now.
