well me and my stepdad picked up a 1984 Mustang LX Convertible at the auction , we were gonna sell it but now decided to keep it. The car has had 2 owners , the second purchased it in 1986. The car has 66k original miles , 3.8L V6 (may not last much longer that way :stirthepot: ) , and an automatic , the body is immaculate , enjoy :icon_thumby:

sorry for the crappy cell phone pics

I remember those - any Mustang convertible is cool.

That dashboard is such a classic. The 1978 Fairmont/Zephyr, the 1979 Mustang/Capri, the 1981 Granada; all were based on that same basic design (different-shaped instrument clusters, though). I think the '83-'88 Ranger used the same vertical vents.

the reason i was trying to convince my stepdad to keep it ( he had not told me we were keeping it yet ) was because i had a 92 Mustang Convertible and i loved it

possibly 5.0 with GT40 Heads , Edelbrock intake , Holley 4-Barrel ( still a carb'd car ) and possibly an RV/Marine 351 cam , if i can find the parts

if you notice in the pics , the driver side low beam looks dark , that is because it is half filled with water !!!!!!!!!! replaced it today with a new one and all my lights work now , probably gonna bo an oil change next weekend as it is way overfull , and change the tranny fluid and filter as the tranny fluid looks disgusting

It was at the dealer auction we go to , and we paid $1000

Welcome to the Four Eyed club my friend. I have an 85 GT.

Hello

I have an 88 5.0l 5 speed with mass air. Your car would be a perfect shell for my motor. Some day I will do this conversion but the B2 comes first.

Have fun.

Be different!! It already has the 3.8 in it. So look for a T-Bird Super Coupe, take the super charged V6 out of it and if you are lucky it may have the 5 speed behind it. That would be the build I would like to see.

the supercoupe motor is badass, pushed by buddies bird up to 130 with more left!

Nice Ride!
Check out Mustangs unlimited for every part you can imagine to fix that pony up...

well i response to the statements about the auto or stick and the V8 , for now it is going to stay as originally built , i have my ranger i am sinking my funding into for now , this is just a late spring to early fall cruiser , better on fuel than either of my trucks , and i love driving with the top down

and explorin , thanks for the welcome :icon_thumby: , she aint my first drop top stang , but my first of that era (79-86) , and i never thought of the supercoupe engine , now you got the wheels turning in my mind:stirthepot: :icon_welder: :icon_cheers:
