2.9L Vacuum Diagram

Well you need to plug the one going back to the intake or you will have a leak. Aside from that line the rest of the system will be removed with the air box.

But yeah, it's a pretty nifty little system. Now we need heavy gauge wires and expensive electronic to accomplish the same effect with "active grille shutters" that, apparently, can take down the charging system if they malfunction.

Decoy, when you mention round filter are you talking about a K&N cone filter? Keep the factory box and filter. It draws outside air thru the radiator wall. The K&N draws hot under hood air.

Yes. Something like that.
I was thinking I'd leave the duct that took air from the front of the truck.
(But I may be falling for "performance" parts marketing.)
The way I understand it, the temp of the air is not as important as the amount of airflow.
The goal is to help the little engine breath when the RPMs are up.

....but I don't mean to hijack the thread.

Question about the diagram

What is the a/cdlv line go to its on the diagram under the hood but know one can ever tell me where it goes and is it bad if I don't have any lines connected to the intake box. I don't know where those lines would connect to. Where is the egr I can't seem to find it would a vacuum leak make it seem like it is misfiring?

I have a ford bronco 2 Eddie Bauer 4x4
