2.9 tranny question

Im not sure why the dealer would say mercon v I think Im just going to look it up in the manual it should say right? or I could take a picture of the tranny if that helps. the other day I unbolted the 15 mm square bolt and found it had oil in it but it was black very black.

you can look in the tech section for info on how to ID your trans, or if you post a pic, we can do it as well. once we know for sure what transmission you have, then we can give some positive input on what and where for your drain and fill.
