2.9 to 2.3 turbo swap

My 2.9 in my 88 ranger just died. It has the mazda 5 speed in it. Anyone here know what exactly would be involved in the swap? ecu, wiring if the tranny will bolt up, fuel pump

you need the donor motor, all the turbo stuffs. fuel pump will be fine, wiring harness for a 2.3 or 2.5 if you get one of those instead. a bellhousing for a 2.3 or 2.5. and the ecu can be a stock ranger ecu witha piggyback system to control the fuel curve and spark, or you need to get a turbo computer from a mustang svo, merkur xr4ti, or thunderbird turbo coupe. that is what i did. good luck on the project if you go thru with it!!
