2.9 tempature

what is the normal opperating temp range on a 2.9 no a/c 5spd 2wd dual exhaust no emmissions ranger w/merkur turbo exhaust manifolds? i just finished installing new heads & exhaust manifolds yesterday w/180 thermostat and temp is still high.

My 87 with stock thermostat runs about 1/3 of the way up on the gauge. Was it high before the mods?

Mine is at 190degrees with a stock temp thermostat with a mechanical gauge.

Should stick at 190 or 195 (based on the thermostat you have in it)

Once it hits 200 though, I'd worry about it overheating.
