2.9 steering pulley

All of the parts stores keep trying to sell me a serpentine type power steering pulley for my 88 2.9 Ranger. It is the standard single v-belt but I cant get anyone to provide the right part. Any help or ideas appreciated.

Rock auto has them

Worst case, volvo epas pump.

Put one in mine. Absolutely love it

I don't know for sure.... but can't you just swap the pulley?

I know I bought the removal and installation tools years ago... because new or rebuilt pumps never came with a pulley when I wrenched for a living.

Looks like time for the salvage yard Rockauto and Autozone do not list one for 86 or 88 ranger 2.9

Sorry I replied too quickly. I see now you need the pulley only. Although I don't even see a rebuilt pump with a pulley on it either.

It would be really dumb to offer a reman pump with the pulley installed since it has to be off to mount the pump to the bracket.

I've never had one of the PS pulleys come off in one piece. I've always had to torch cut them off.

You must not be using a power steering pump pulley puller the right tool does the job.

I've never had one of the PS pulleys come off in one piece. I've always had to torch cut them off.

Eh. Probably. Don't care though. Won't use the stock pumps, so i rather enjoy watching them get cut apart.
