does your year even have egr?

If it's a '91, then no.

I think the differences in the exhaust are the collector pipes, I am not entirely sure. I do know that the exhaust ports are the same arrangement/location from 86-92.

the only differences is like already stated, the 88 and newer are non egr, all other 2.9's use a EGR pipe. that is the only difference in the headers, they have the exact same routing and all

im not sure ill have to check. i have the motor in my barn. do i have to look for a plug in the manifold or something? i dont know much about the manifold stuff like that.
