2.9 and 4.0 OHV oil filter adapter seal part #'s

Gav, will the bolt still seal on the o ring? If it will seal fine and you just need a way to install it you could Dremel (or hacksaw) a flat in it and use a large flat blade screw driver to wind it in. Just an idea

Another option would be to weld a nut on top of the damaged bolt.
Good Luck

I just checked Marketplace and there's a guy in Indiana selling a junked 2.9 engine for part out for $75. The engine is in bad shape, but it does have the oil filter adapter. Maybe he could part it out to you. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/951406874713059/
Thank you Sly, I ended up tracking one down in a junkyard, you weren’t kidding about it being impossible to find otherwise though. Mine is 4x4 and I’d definitely have clearance issues with having filter horizontal. Thank you for checking marketplace too! That being said, I now have a spare adapter without the bolt if anybody needs one. On we go!
