But Im just worried about your fuel pressure. I think the pressure on the 86's is 44psi of pressure, way to much for a carbureted vehicle. Now I understand if you are putting the TBI unit off a 84 thunder bird with a 3.8 liter on to your 2.8, then you will be okay (btw thats what im going to be doing to my ranger after i put my 2.8 in it). I didnt know that they made explorers in 86!!! But a plastic explorers tank wont fit under a ranger, its to wide. But a metal tank of an 86 ranger will, or a gen. 2 ranger with plastic tank will also but the pressure from those gen. 2 pumps are much higher!!!
