2.8 heads

i am looking at getting my heads reworked. the guy thats is doing them said they had a problem with em cracking when bolting them on and there is an updated version. i was reading the forums and no one seams to have any trouble. is this true?

I had mine off for cleaning and valve lapping,did it in my driveway.Put em back on with new gaskets,torqueing to specifications and not one problem.

I have heard that you don't want to overheat them,but that applies to engines in general.If you follow the torque sequence you should be good to go.

The 2.9 heads were the problem.
