guys, i am looking for a picture of a 2.8 l engine. I am assembling mine after along time apart and can't seem to figure out where the bolt goes to fasten the the dipstick tube to the engine. It has to either be a bolt that goes into the block or that holds some smog tube deal into the rear of the exhaust manifold. Anything that can give me an idea would be great. I think this bronco has finally driven me crazy.

Thanks
Jon

No picture, but I'm pretty sure it goes on an exhaust manifold bolt that also holds the heat riser. It will be a bolt with a threaded section above the head.

i can check tomarrow. and ill try to remember to get back on here and post a picture. But sorry if i dont.

Tease!

If you could post a pic it would be awesome.

Thanks
Jon

I'll get you one tonight if it's not too dark when I get home.

well my computer is kinda ****ed up right now and i dont have the soft wear on it to get the pic from the camera but ill look for the disk, i can say that the bolt goes into the block right behind the driver side exhaust manafold ill post a pic with in 30 mins

It bolts to the side of the block by the bellhousing.

Hmmm.. Shoot, I thought you were talking about the tranny dipstick, so I got a great pic.... Just not what you wanted and it looks like you got it covered anyway. :icon_thumby:
