2.5 --> 4.0

Feeling around for some v6 engines. found a 4.0 from a 4x4 2002 ranger (i have a 98 2.5l i4 2wd 5spd manual) i would like to know if the tranny would bolt up with ease... Thanks.

No... You'll need a transmission from a 4.0L... Plus wiring harness, etc... It's would be easiest to get an entire donor truck...

same story with the 3.0... IMO it would be a waste of time to do the 3.0 swap... the 4.0 produces much better number and will require the same amount of work...
