2.3L cam swap

Anyone know anything about swapping a ranger roller cam into a early 2.3L from a pinto.

Just use the roller cam and followers. Any 8-plug motor up to maybe '94-'96? Sometime they changed to smaller valve stems and the followers wont fit the old motors. Mine came from a '91 Ranger and ran great in my carbureted '85 2.3.

I am about 85% sure that change was made for the '95 model year and newer when they totally reworked the design of the engine.

Ok thanks. Junkyard trip already planned this weekend, I can try to compare the valve stem sizes
