2.3 to a 4.0

so i have two 96 rangers ones a 4.0 and the others a 2.3 im just wondering what id have to change when i go to swap the 4.0 in the the 4 banger truck

You will need to swap everything.

Motor, Trans, Wiring harnesses, computer, radiator, motor mounts?..etc

Basically strip them both completely, and swap in all the 4.0 stuff.

But I have to ask, why not just use the 4.0 truck?
