2.3L ('83-'97) 2.3 swap options

Hi I have a 1992 ford ranger with a 2.3l 4 cylinder( with 8 spark plugs) and a 5 speed manual transmission. Is there any other years that I can direct swap this engine into, without having to pull the entire wire harness with it?

That engine would be useful for 89-94? Rangers, Mustangs of around the same vintage. The 2.3s were not really used in any other vehicles in that time period.
