2.3 Question ?????

Are all 2.3 Blocks the same? This has probably been covered but I need to know. I have a chance to get a 2.3 carb model for 50.00 from a 83 ranger truck and need to put it my 88 model ranger. I will need to change the head I know but what else? My truck is Fuel injected now.

I think that works. The post-2.5L 2.3 blocks are different, but all the early Lima's are the same I think.

if you change the head it should work, there might be some small changes, like the crank journals are different between the two
