Alright, so I replaced the pick-up coil in the distributor. Still no freakin spark out of the coil. I checked the wires going into the coil. One side I have a constant 12 volts no matter with the key on or off. The other wire which looks green or blue with a white stripe, reads nothing at all. Where does this wire go? Is there any voltage suppose to go through this wire? Help! I am really hating this truck right now!
Thank you for your time.
Mike
I measured the .9 ohms from the terminal post inside the coil where you connect the wires from the engine wiring harness (no wires were connected during this test). The 12 volts is coming from the wiring harness when not plugged into the coil, but only the red wire is reading 12v and nothing from the other wire.
