2.3 Lima or 2.3 Duratec??


Lima's are twin plug engines, meaning they use 8 spark plugs instead of just 4. The drivers side plugs, although not necessary to run, are a big pain to replace.

Yes you can skip replacing them, but it runs so much better when you do 8 together.
Yes thy are a pain, but with a some creaitivity and tools. Its not quite as bad as it looks.I would say it takes me a extra hr. I have done two trucks, I know the sec time around went a lot faster

The secret for getting the rear ones on the drivers side is to jack the truck up enough so you can go underneath the fender well using a socket, and u-joint on a extension. I can do the ones on the drivers side just about as quick as the ones on the passengers side now.
