Hello, I have a 94 Ranger 2.3 5speed and I'm having trouble finding a cold air intake for it. Does anybody have any pics or ideas? Does it work?:icon_confused:

Actually the stock air intake is a cold air system. There should be a air duct that mounts behind the passenger headlight and feeds into the airbox. They do make plates that bolt up so a K&N or cone style filter can be attached; but in my opinion it's a waste of time and money. Just keep the air filter clean and don't worry about it. I don't think that you'll see a gain in MPG to justify.

You can also do a search for 2.3L Cold Air Intake and see multiple threads since this topic comes up often.

Total waste! The OEM setup is a CAI, and the OEM paper filter is the same size, used in the 3.0L and 4.0L. It will flow way more air than the 4.0L can
pull, so it's way over-sized for the 2.3L!
