There's no carb manifolds for the dual plug heads since there's like 3 or 4 intake patterns that part gets to be a pain in the rear... You'd be better off just porting the head and probably intake manifold, the intake runners in the head leave a LOT to be desired.Makes me wonder if I should consider trying to make a dual plug head and/or turbo work on my boat…
I'm all about 5 speeds, I didn't want to deal with autos on my F350 so I went for a manual, it works fine and other than me towing heavy too much and having to be in 3rd gear doing 38mph up mountain passes it does fine, would be better with 75-100 more horsepower (stock is rated at like 225, it has well over 250k on the engine) but the diesel grunt works fine, it's geared to hold 62mph at 2000rpm in 5th which it's happy at... sure I broke 5th gear once but the chassis has at least 360k on it so I don't blame it
When I towed the work enclosed trailer with my 3 wheeler in it over the mountain pass I used 5th gear, had to with 5.13's since it's like 3k at 60...
If I was to do the tow rig thing again I would probably just get an early duramax... those with an allison trans are a good combo even stock with a small tuner...
